I think most artists start off as kids just doodling and I was no exception. My Art and Agriculture classes were the most important ones in my high school years, with everything else following behind.
I've always loved drawing or painting and that was the starting point for my interest in art. It's what lead me to pursue Graphic Design at MATC. The program focused on that illustration is the starting point for Graphic Design. It's what allows me to start with my thumbnails, rough comps, and sketches that lead to my designing on the computer.
While I don't get to do as much fine art work as I'd like to, it's still one of my favorite forms of art. Great pieces of art can be made through the computer or camera but nothing beats a piece of fine art on a canvas.
